People Living Deeply Have No Fear Of Death!

Maybe I’m bias cuz she’s black?

I was hugely disappointed with my first lesson on Tuesday - Clinical and Healthy Psychology. I hope today’s Employee Assessment and Leadership Development will be much better. The lecturer on Tuesday (CHP) was a perhaps late 20s to early 30s rich type of ah neh woman who probably know nuts about anything except what she is being taught in the book. After 1 hour and a draggy 30 minutes of her endless jokes which I don’t feel funny at all, I decided that I was doomed for the next 9 lessons. I wished I have a time machine to skip right into the exam. Classmates are still alright so far I guess.

So what is wrong with this ah neh woman? Let’s call her Ms Know-Nuts. Ms Know-Nuts asked a question. “Under what circumstances would a person not feel any pain?” The answer could be when the person has diabetics or a better one would be, dead. But someone (who is in health care line – a nurse) said when the person is high in medication or legal drugs. Now now, obviously we all know that even if a person who has taken 10000000mg of cough syrup will feel pain – if not a pinch of pain, even with drugs. Unless you are talking about high dosages of pain killers. The funny part which no one felt funny but me was that Ms Know-Nuts said “I wouldn’t know because I have never gotten high from taken medication.” I was about to barf out loud saying that it was common sense for people to know. True, I have friends who get high on cough syrup, ketamine, DXM and snorting but none of them did stupid things like burning or cutting themselves and telling me they do not feel pain. Does she even know that legal drugs when taken to a certain dosage become illegal? For example, over the counter DXM when taken 600mg becomes ketamine? I guess not. This module will be fun in a painful way for me.

Anywhore, I am having sinus which causes my mucus to be stuck and when I sleep it goes to my throat making things worst. I wish the weather would be a constant 26 degrees everything – cloudy. But oh well, that would be when I am high on DXM where I starting flying around and see colours everywhere.

My mom is suggesting that I should do a thesis on Hitler. Hmm? I would be so infamously rich that way.

PS: Movie recommendation of this entry would be Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas by Johnny Depp. Dry humor with loads of high drug usages.

Bombastic Boringness

One thing for sure and chop chop on this earth, or rather in Singapore… is that almost everyone loves to talk about themselves. I have almost never met anyone who doesn’t start every topic with me and me and endless mes. Being someone who loves to observe and listen with my mouth shut much, I can promise as much as I can promise you this world is doomed, that people meet people just to talk about themselves or rant about how shitty everything in their life is. No wonder my ears have so much shit in them. Sure, they might as you “How are you?” but you’ll notice that after speaking 3 sentences of yourself, the direction starts to change to becoming them. It’s like they are asking the mirror “How are you?”.

Anywhore, The Uninvited is a pretty mind fucked movie. I like the ending and the suspense part was pretty awesome. It’s funny how DVDrips are available when the movie just came out. But of course, I’m not really THAT surprised. Slumdog Millionaire’s DVD came out even before that bloody movie reached Singapore’s cinema. And yes, bloody, because I do not like it. It’s overrated, what it did was hypnotized me to boredom death. The plot (which probably can be explained in less than 10 sentences) is original, fresh but the movie is too damn draggy and slow.

It’s almost half of 2009 and I can’t wait for school next week. Heard that my class will be a quantity of almost 50 – 60 students! Twice a week evenings sound reasonable. There was this massive Harries sale and everything was like so cheap. I got this book “Destructive Emotions: A Scientific Dialogue with the Dalai Lama (Hardcover)” for only SGD5!! Waiting for the June IT Fair, I sooo need a new 1TB hard drive. Space constrain drives me crazy!!

The world is pretty much doomed after reading this.

Lazy Saturday

Today, unlike any other Saturday for once in my life in Singapore, I woke up at 7am to proceed to ICA for my application of permanent resident. I slept at 2am the night before so you can imagine how much of a zombie I was. Since I am over 21, I can have my independent renewal but we forgot about CPF statement which made us drive all the way to CPF Building. Everything was settled at about 9am. We went to Suntec’s Starbucks for breakfast and of course, my Caramel Macchiato. Reached home about 1230pm and headed for bed….. and I only woke up about 6pm. Hahaha, how nice to spend my Saturday eh???

But it was good as first time, Suntec City has no crowds except expats taking breakfast before their sight seeing of our stressful country. And oh oh, guess what? There was a small Crocs sale lah!! My sister and I bought the same model - Alice which retails for SGD 54.95 but we got it for only SGD 39. Good steal eh? Hehehe. She was so kiasu that she bought it in 2 different colors (purple and red!). I got mine in purple though, somehow I prefer the purple to the red… perhaps the tone?

Anywhore, on the side note, if you haven’t watched Hedwig and the Angry Inch yet, do do it!It about this male named Hansel borned in Berlin, fell in love with an army black dude and underwent a sex-change operation in order to marry him but they got divroced and she turned to a carrer purse in rock music. Though it might be disturbing watching a tranny movie but I assure you, this movie will blow your mind.. leaving you thinking why are movies in cinemas so cock up these few years. But seriously though, the actor who played Hedwig (John Cameron Mitchell), is really pretty lah espically the part with the straight across bangs and blonde rebonded hair (if you dont think of the word tranny while looking at s-him).

Tsunami in July 2009?

Sooooo, I received this email regarding the prediction of tsunami on 22nd July 2009 in countries like Malaysia (Sabah & Sarawak), Singapore, Maldives, Australia,
Mauritius, Si Lanka, India, Indonesia and Philippines.

I googled around and got 2 answers from maybe, experts? which explains why no tsunami will happen.

1) On the asian side of the earth, there will be the longest total solar eclipse of the 21st century, about 6 1/2 minutes. The waters will definitely be confused, but I don’t think think an eclipse will cause a tsunami.

2) It’s not true. Tsunamis are caused by large undersea earth movements (earthquakes and landslides), which cannot be predicted in advance. The solar eclipse on that day will not cause a tsunami. The difference in gravitational force on the earth as a result of the perfect alignment with the moon and sun is a tiny fraction of a percent, and there is no proven correlation between eclipses and earthquakes.

What you reckon? As for me, never liked the sun, so I doubt I’ll be anywhere there. Plus it’s a Wednesday lah, people at work, can?

Shame on Sgreans.

Hmm so, I was supposed to meet a friend at Vivo City yesterday but when I reached there, he said it was rainning so I went home. On my way home, I noticed two things.

1) You know the passage where you change MRT at Outram Park to walk to the East West line? If you do, good. If not, don’t bother reading the rest of this part. Ok so, I noticed that they have place yellow lines diving the pathway to prevent people from any-o-how walking since there’s 2 directions. The route going to North East line only consist of 1/4 space to walk! But this is not the part where I rolled my eyes. It was when people walking towards NEL, walking at the opposite space! WTF?????!!!!!!!!! I think people here are seriously BLIND and SELFISH. Most of the locals here obviously haven’t been to places like Manila!!!!!!!! SPOILT, INCONSIDERATE and TOO COMFY. I think we take too much granted for what our govt has done for this country and only noticed what they haven’t do or can’t do. GOSH.

2) So, in the MRT, I noticed the new system in the trains whereby they show u little LED lights on the next stop. Also, which way the door will open. I believe some other countries already has this long ago but kudos to this cute and productive newbie. I was so amazed I kept staring at it. Hahaha.

Now, fuck off already.

Hmmmm. After being 3 weeks away from Singapore, I must say… I REALLY REALLY (x a trillion trillion) HATE IT HERE. What about? EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE. I think people are so dumb they don’t get the hint when I want to be left alone and act oh-so-hurt when I tell them the truth about how fucking irritating they can be. I’m completely surrounded by idiots who doesn’t have a brain or initiative AT ALL. I’m starting to think that pinoys are much smarter than people here.

Gosh, my 3 weeks was peaceful. When I went home, surrounding was peaceful and quiet. Don’t have to open my mouth to speak to anyone. Don’t even have to speak with my housemate. Just reach home, go room, shut door, do my own stuff, end of story. Noone asking stupid questions or asking this and that. 3 weeks really came too fast.

Seriously though, if HP now sends me to somewhere to work there for 6 months, I very sure doubt I will turn it down - even if it’s India or Dubai. Peace for myself or Singapore? I rather choose the first even if it means I’m a lone stranger there.

Yes, I very much prefer to be left alone. Thank you. Now, fuck off already.

Tards and more tards!

Well, to be honest, this 20 days trip away from Singapore really did me good somehow even though it was much of a business than leisure. Getting proper rest, eating like a pig, shopping like as though I am Paris Hilton. And most importantly, I realised how people really can be. I don’t feel like going into details so all I’m gonna say is…. I can’t be bothered anymore. I’ll just mind my own fucking business and let everyone else who deserves to die, DIE.

My PH team is really awesome although sometimes I have headaches with them. Can’t blame them either as they have tolorated me raising my voice sometimes and snapping. Still they can be so sweet and kind. They have even invited me to join them at Caramoan Islands in April but we’ll see…. because air ticket to Manila from Jetstar is about SGD348.

Hello Manila!

It’s been 11 days since I’ve touched down Manila. Weather is the same (as hot as hell, didn’t rain for 11 days except tiny dots of water for 5 mins) but am not sure why the heatiness, dryness and bleeding of lips despite drinking loads of water. Guess the humidity is different.

1) Week one was fun because everything if so alien. The excitment was there for the food and shopping. However, after the 6th day, I was convinced that BKK was better for shopping. More choices and haggling was more fun. Here, when you try to bargain a little (say 100pesos = SGD3), they rather say “NO” and let you walk away. Food wise is pretty darn cheap. About just 40SGD for 5 - 6 pax. I think I’m getting fatter eating 3 full meals a day. So the best part of after dinner is to walk with our heavy laptop bags! Talking about that, I must get myself a laptop bag for just SGD30 from Jurong Point extention level 2. Corrine bought it from there and its pretty good.

2) Week two is a stiff week. I can feel myself filled with annoyance to the extend of popping panadol and drinking herbal tea. But I have to understand that their culture and way are different. I’m both happy and sad at the same time. Happy that the things are cheap here and my team are friendly reliable people and sad because I’m ending my “holiday” too soon! It’s a nice break here away from everyone I know. Peace, and quietness.

Anyway, thought of going BKK in may. Or maybe KL next month. WHAHAHA.
